World Wildlife Fund Thanks Watchic for Wildlife for Their Support

Everyone who knows Eileen Burnell, know she loves Watchic Lake and loves all wildlife. She has dedicated many years to volunteering on the lake to help project our wildlife.

In 2022, Eileen Burnell decided to create a team instead of paddling and raising money for the WWF. Kim Lajoie quickly jumped on board, and the story began.

During August, the team from Maine with two individuals officially finished third for fund raising in the nation, but as donations continued to come in, Team Watchic for Wildlife rose to second place and currently shows a total of $2,905 raised. Kim Lajoie was the third top fundraiser with $1,805, and Eileen Burnell was ninth with $1,100. See the World Wildlife Fund – Watchic for Wildlife page for the latest updates.

Kim and Eileen plan to grow this event on Watchic to raise more for the World Wildlife Fund and create a fun paddling adventure for many more. The sky is the limit for ways to paddle and enjoy this recreational activity on Watchic with friends and neighbors.
