August 4th Social Event – Great Response

Thank you to all that joined us at the Outpost Public House Restaurant on Wednesday August 4th. Lake-Friendly Water Sport Zones

During the summer, WLA members raised concerns about wakesurfing on the lake, and the potential risk to lake users, wildlife (e.g. swamping loon nests), and shoreland property from the large waves (over 3 feet). Although the wakesurfing is generally happening at slow speeds near the center of the lake, waves created have disrupted kayakers and damaged docks.
